In seguito alla laurea in Medicina e Chirurgia conseguita a pieni voti a soli 23 anni, ha svolto attività ospedaliera fino a ricoprire la carica di Assistente di ruolo presso il Centro di Anestesia e Rianimazione dell’Istituto Ortopedico Gaetano Pini di Milano. Terminata l’esperienza ospedaliera e conseguite le due specializzazioni, prima in Anestesiologia e Rianimazione e, subito dopo, la più amata, in Allergologia e Immunologia Clinica, la sua attività scientifica e professionale si è indirizzata verso l’approfondimento delle relazioni immunologiche tra alimentazione, glicazione e infiammazione, spesso cercando una via di correlazione tra le diverse metodiche terapeutiche conosciute e studiate.
Dal 2014 a oggi è docente dei Master di Nutrizione dell’Università di Pavia, come professore a contratto. Il titolo del suo corso di insegnamento è “Infiammazione da cibo”. Dal 1990 è socio attivo della New York Academy of Science di New York e della European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI).

After his graduation with flying colours in Medicine and Surgery being only 23 years old, he worked for a while as Medical Assistant at the Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Department at the Gaetano Pini Institute in Milan. After the hospital experience and the achievement of the two certified specializations in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care and subsequently, the most loved one, in Allergology and Clinical Immunology, his scientific and professional activity has been focused on the immune relation between nutrition, glycation and inflammation, often looking for integrative ways among the therapeutic strategies known and studied. Due to his teaching abilities, he also lectured in a number of different clinical contexts. Since 2014 he is currently teaching at the University of Pavia for the Master in Nutrition, as professor under contract. The topic of his teaching is “Food related inflammation”. Since 1990 he is an active partner of the New York Academy of Science (New York) and of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI).
Since 2010 to date he is also a British Doctor, registered at the General Medical Council of London.
Since 2016 to date he is fellow and member of the Scientific Committee of Inflammation Society a not-for-profit organization, registered in England and Wales.
